There are so many employment options and opportunities. You can acquire a lucrative job for as long as you qualify.
Even if you’re not a graduate of an accounting degree, you can become an accountant. That’s not a lie, but that can only happen if you’re inclined to study again. You are not too old to go to school. If you’re an undergraduate or you’ve taken a business-related course, you can go after your college education in accounting. Individuals who have taken business-related courses can easily change over to accountancy because some of their subjects in college can be credited or transferred. They will only be taking the mandatory units in order to attain the degree. Even though it might take a little longer, the rewards can make your head spin. Be patient and be agreeable to gaining more knowledge.

1. You have to consider why you want to switch your career. Even if you can name a lot of explanations why you want to leave your old job, that will not necessarily help in making a sensible decision. What you should do is identify the components of accounting (if you plan to make an accountancy career change). If you think that you have the characteristics of an accountant and you think that you can be creatively and commercially expanded, go ahead. Does the thought of math figures and numbers excite you?
2. Suppose the motive you want to abandon your job is the low salary, an accounting career can give you a decent salary. You see, starting salaries of accountants is usually about $35,000 per year. It gets better in time.
3. Get to know individuals who are in this field. You may want to conduct some research to determine the necessary skills required, how accounting works, and other information.

Keep yourself motivated because you will most likely experience setbacks. If you can overcome these setbacks, nothing can stop you from doing your job efficiently.
